China Beach Photography

China Beach in San Francisco is a lesser-known beach in San Francisco with an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Most people go to Baker Beach to get photos taken, but I absolutely love China Beach because it has easier parking, and it’s way less crowded!

Parking at China Beach:

I’ve been there multiple times and I’ve never had an issue parking there!

Reception at China Beach:

This is where it gets a little tricky. There’s no reception there. You will have to let your clients (or whoever you are meeting there) that you won’t have reception beforehand. What I did was text my clients from right around the parking lot when I got there, and let them know that I would go dark in about 10-15 min so if they had any questions, to text me within that time. Then I waited 10-15 min before going down to the beach.

What you can see at China Beach:

You will see the bridge (a little further distance than Baker Beach) and lots of rock formations. When it’s low tide, you will be able to walk around some of the rocks and you can have a little private alcove!
